What is Not Covered?
Admin charges where a fault cannot be found with the Equipment
If a device is reported to have a fault but the fault cannot be replicated on return there may be an admin fee involved.
Unauthorised modifications to the Equipment
Where modifications are made without approval from ourselves, this includes RAM or Hard drive upgrades.
Consumable or auxiliary items e.g. Batteries
Consumable or auxiliary items e.g. discs, leads, printers, print materials, batteries / battery packs or any accessories, Peripherals or hardware that were not part of the original Equipment offering
at the time of purchase.
Accidental Damage/Deliberate damage or neglect of the Equipment.
Damage to the device which is user inflicted. Any damages during transit should be reported immediately. All devices are inspected and we take a photo of each device before it leave our units meaning we can compare any photos prior to dispatch if a claim is to arise.
This includes Damage caused by foreign objects or substances.
Failure to comply with the manufacturer’s instructions for the care of the Equipment
Any claims arising to maintenance recommended by the manufacturer will not be covered.
Any Equipment installed in a commercial environment or where the level of use is deemed beyond normal domestic use
Devices used as servers for example if they were not built for this purpose as set out by the manufacturer.
Costs not authorised by the Provider or its appointed engineers
Any costs which you occur for diagnostics or repairs which have not been pre-approved or communicated with us first.
Faults relating to the installation of the Equipment, software installation, and corrupted software installed on the Equipment or due to computer viruses
Any user-inflicted software issues will not be covered. We can re-install your provided operating system on request but this will be chargeable and not included in the 12-month warranty. This includes Claims for rectifying maladjustment or incorrect configuration or setting of manual controls or programming.
Work, which relates to a manufacturer recall
If a manufacturer re-call is called or required on your device please contact us and we will be able to advise of the best plan of action.
Repair to or Damage of a cosmetic nature caused by but not limited to denting, scratching, chipping, staining, and rust or corrosion & Claims arising as a result of normal wear and tear (e.g. belts, fuses, batteries).
Any user inflicted damages or wear and tear is not covered under the 12 month Warranty
Routine maintenance of the Equipment, supplies or service in Your Home.
This is not included in the 12 month warranty
The interruption, failure, disconnection or power surge in the power supply to Your Home however caused or due to inadequate ventilation of the Equipment.
This is not included in the 12 month warranty
Total loss of use of the Equipment due solely to the non-availability of replacement or substitute parts.
We shall offer a settlement based on the depreciated value of the Equipment and the estimated cost of repairs had theparts been available.
Consequential loss of any type including Loss of Data
It is the user's responsibility to backup all data contained on the device should this be via repair or mechanical failure we will never compensate for any type of data loss.
If the manufacturers/repairers seal is broken then all benefits under the policy will cease
All devices will come with a sealed warranty sticker, if this is damaged or broken the warranty will cease. All parts are security marked and logged in our system also to avoid any fraudulent claims.
