Condition Guidelines
The condition of refurbished and pre-owned PDAs can vary depending on previous use, particularly where devices have been used in commercial, warehouse, retail or field environments. We aim to provide clear and accurate information to help you make an informed decision.
Wherever possible, we include multiple photographs and highlight any noticeable marks, scratches, screen wear, casing damage, missing covers, worn buttons or other defects. Please review all photographs carefully before purchasing, as they form an important part of the product description.
Any known issues affecting the display, touchscreen, keypad, buttons, scanner, ports, battery compartment, charging connections or general operation will be stated in the product description where identified.
Where the item shown is not the exact unit you will receive, the supplied PDA will be the same model or specification and in the same or a very similar overall condition unless otherwise stated. Devices with more noticeable cosmetic defects may be photographed individually for greater transparency.
All refurbished and pre-owned PDAs may show signs of previous use. Minor marks, scratches, scuffs, wear to the screen, keypad, buttons, casing or connection points should therefore be expected unless the item is specifically described as immaculate.
Grade A* – Immaculate condition with little to no visible signs of previous use. The screen, casing, keypad and overall exterior will be in exceptional cosmetic condition.
Grade A – Excellent condition with only very minor signs of previous use. Any marks or scratches will be light and unobtrusive, with no significant screen, casing or keypad wear.
Grade B – Good condition with light cosmetic wear, such as small marks, scratches, scuffs or minor wear to the screen, keypad, buttons or casing. The PDA remains fully functional unless otherwise stated.
Grade C – Fair condition with noticeable cosmetic wear, including heavier scratches, scuffs, worn buttons, screen marks, casing wear or other visible signs of previous use. The PDA remains fully functional unless otherwise stated.
Grade D – Working with defects. The PDA is functional but has one or more significant cosmetic defects, screen or touchscreen issues, damaged or non-working buttons or ports, damaged casing, missing components, scanner issues or other known limitations. All known faults and limitations will be clearly stated in the product description.
Guarantee
This device comes with a 6 Month hardware & parts guarantee as standard. This covers all mechanical & hardware failures which are not user inflicted. Software, including without limitation, the operating system and software or the reloading of software problems that result, directly or indirectly, from external causes such as accident, abuse, misuse, or problems with electrical power. Servicing not authorised by Chaps IT Recycling Limited.
Usage that is not in accordance with product instructions. Failure to follow the product instructions or failure to perform preventive maintenance.
Using accessories, parts or components not supplied by Chaps IT Recycling LTD. Commercial hardware products that use, or in which have been installed, products or components that have not been provided by Chaps IT Recycling LTD. Products with missing or altered service tags or serial numbers.
Due to fraudulent activity all serial numbers are recorded and hidden security markings are added to all our devices.
If the 30 day returns period has passed from the date of delivery & the fault cannot be replicated the item may be returned with no refund.

Delivery & Returns
Orders placed before 1PM will be dispatched the same day via next day fully insured delivery. On rare occasions we also may be able to ship your order after 1PM. If the item is urgently required for next day & purchased after 1pm, please enquire before purchasing.
All services are fully tracked to avoid fraudulent activity or claims.
If you are located in the Scottish Highlands, isle of man, Northern Ireland or remote UK areas an additional surcharge will be applied during checkout. A slightly slower service may also be used if next day is not available. Please enquire before purchasing if this is an issue.
All our devices come with a 30 day return guarantee. This means that if you are unhappy with your item or it didn't meet your expectations you can send the item back to us and we will give you a full refund.
Due to an increase in fraudulent activity items must be returned in the original condition in which they were received with all originally included accessories. All parts are recorded & security markings added to ensure no fraudulent activity is carried out on the item. Return postage must also be covered by the buyer.
