Condition Guidelines
The condition of refurbished and pre-owned surveillance equipment can vary depending on previous use, installation environment and configuration, so we aim to provide clear and accurate information to help you make an informed decision.
Please read the product title, description and photographs carefully before purchasing. Any known faults, defects, missing parts, damage, configuration limitations or other important condition information will be stated in the listing where identified.
Wherever possible, we include multiple photographs and highlight any noticeable marks, scratches, casing damage, damaged ports, broken fittings, lens damage, missing covers or other defects. The photographs form an important part of the product description and should be reviewed carefully before purchase.
Refurbished and pre-owned NVRs, DVRs and CCTV cameras may show signs of previous installation and use, including marks, scratches, scuffs, label residue, mounting wear, minor casing damage, weathering or wear around ports and connectors.
Any known issues affecting video inputs or outputs, network ports, storage bays, power connections, recording functionality, camera image quality, lenses, infrared operation, housings, mounting points or general operation will be clearly stated in the product description where identified.
Login & Configuration
Where supported, NVRs, DVRs and CCTV cameras are reset prior to sale so that previous user credentials and configurations are removed. Devices will normally be returned to their default or factory login state where possible. The exact setup procedure, default credentials and activation requirements can vary by manufacturer and model, so please refer to the manufacturer's instructions when configuring the equipment.
Please check the listed configuration carefully before purchasing. Hard drives, storage capacity, channel count, PoE capability, network interfaces and other features can vary between otherwise similar surveillance systems.
Please do not assume that hard drives, power supplies, mounting brackets, cameras, cables, connectors, remote controls, mice, monitors or other accessories are included unless they are shown in the photographs or specifically stated in the product description.
Where the item shown is not the exact unit you will receive, the supplied item will be the same model or advertised specification and in the same or a very similar overall condition unless otherwise stated.
Please ensure that the product title, description, specifications and photographs have been read carefully before purchasing, as any known faults, missing components, configuration differences or limitations will be clearly stated there.

Guarantee
This device comes with a 6 month hardware & parts guarantee as standard. This covers all mechanical & hardware failures which are not user inflicted. Software, including without limitation, the operating system and software or the reloading of software problems that result, directly or indirectly, from external causes such as accident, abuse, misuse, or problems with electrical power. Servicing not authorised by Chaps IT Recycling Limited.
Usage that is not in accordance with product instructions. Failure to follow the product instructions or failure to perform preventive maintenance.
Using accessories, parts or components not supplied by Chaps IT Recycling LTD. Commercial hardware products that use, or in which have been installed, products or components that have not been provided by Chaps IT Recycling LTD. Products with missing or altered service tags or serial numbers.
Due to fraudulent activity all serial numbers are recorded and hidden security markings are added to all our devices.
If the 30 day returns period has passed from the date of delivery & the fault cannot be replicated the item may be returned with no refund.

Delivery & Returns
Orders placed before 1PM will be dispatched the same day via next day fully insured delivery. On rare occasions we also may be able to ship your order after 1PM. If the item is urgently required for next day & purchased after 1pm, please enquire before purchasing.
All services are fully tracked to avoid fraudulent activity or claims.
If you are located in the Scottish Highlands, isle of man, Northern Ireland or remote UK areas an additional surcharge will be applied during checkout. A slightly slower service may also be used if next day is not available. Please enquire before purchasing if this is an issue.
All our devices come with a 30 day return guarantee. This means that if you are unhappy with your item or it didn't meet your expectations you can send the item back to us and we will give you a full refund.
Due to an increase in fraudulent activity items must be returned in the original condition in which they were received with all originally included accessories. All parts are recorded & security markings added to ensure no fraudulent activity is carried out on the item. Return postage must also be covered by the buyer.
